I started surfing at the age of 14 with help from my stepbrother Blake. for the first whole year I surfed Umdloti, its a really hard wave to surf as its always breaking differently and is perfect for maybe 2 or 3 days of the year, so I think that helped me a lot! My first contest was the Roxy Wahine Cup, I entered the novice division and came 4th. That was the year we had to get taken out the back on jet ski's! IT WAS MAD! I made the KZN team the same year and have been top seed every year since and have made a lot of finals at Nationals and other contests around SA.
I'm always at New Pier, you don’t get a more consistent wave than Newps! and I also surf Umhlanga main just because they're so different but both fun..
Surfing is my life, I love being in the water and getting that stoked feeling after having a sick wave, there's nothing like it!
