Ingeborg Riedmaier

Ingeborg Riedmaier is our first proudly South African actress to be accepted to the prestigious Professional Actors Workshop Series recently conducted in Los Angeles, California. This six week intensive course, co-ordinated by the Australian Institute for Performing Arts, has introduced her to Hollywood’s top industry professionals, from Casting directors and Acting Coaches to Managers and Agents. As talent development specialist Marg Haynes, Director of AIPA explains-”it can often take actor’s over 10 years to meet these “heavyweights”, where competition is fierce and making a move to LA is a huge undertaking”. Haynes felt that Ingeborg “has what it takes to stand out in this industry. She is committed, ambitious and a true talent”.

Ingeborg joined 30 Australian as well as two Canadian actors in what were often full day intensive workshops, requiring great preparation and endless energy. The South African actress owes her grounding to thorough training at The University of Pretoria where she obtained her Drama and English Honours Cum Laude. She is also the much loved human friend to Barney the Dinosaur, rehearsing the Musical Stage productions in London each year and touring SA. She has completed a stint on Sewende Laan, proudly advocated the female anatomy in The Vagina Monologues and you may recognise her as a firm favourite from The Fairlady Style Intern Reality Show earlier this year.

Ingeborg is thrilled to have made it home in time to catch some of the soccer festivities and cannot wait to share her newly acquired skills with her fellow actors and the local industry.

She is a resourceful all-around performer with a great future ahead of her. We are very proud to have our girl back in South Africa.
